Moral Failure...the Church in postmodernity.

Who would thought that the RCC in my day (50′s and 1960′s) Dublin Ireland, would have known that coming was the grave moral failure, in the Roman Catholic priesthood!?  No, they are not alone in the West, but the amount of money the RCC has put out towards those that have been sexually molested by priests, both boys & girls, is quite amazing!  It is the great moral failure of our time, at least with the Church. And no, I don’t enjoy writing about this, but has the Church come clean here?  Myself, I say no!  But, still there it sits!

In reality, this is more of a statement about the total sinful nature of man/humanity!  And Augustine has much to say here.  And now today, with the American president (with his vice-president), coming straight-out for Gay Marriage (no pun intended), we are in deep trouble in the Western world!  Lord, help us, give us renewed strength and moral courage to do what is right and biblical!  Those of us that read our Bible, know simply that God has spoken clearly, here!  May we listen and obey… the Word of the Lord!

*Yes, we are all going to have moral failure at times, but this is certainly not the issue. But what are we going to say? Especially to today’s sexual mores!
