When I read the news, the Spirit of God spoke these verses to my heart… Rev. Mike Evans.

Dear Rev. Robert,

In just the latest anti-Semitic outrage from the United Nations, UNESCO has released a resolution that denies any Jewish connection to the Temple Mount and the Kotel (Western Wall) and refers to them only by their Arabic names. It calls Israel the “occupying power” and accuses Israel of planting fake archeological evidence to strengthen Jewish claim to the land. As I read that story, I immediately thought of this powerful passage of Scripture.

“Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing? The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying, Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us” (Psalm 2:1-3).

My dear friend, Prime Minister Netanyahu, released a furious statement in response that said, “This is yet another absurd UN decision. UNESCO ignores the unique historic connection of Judaism to the Temple Mount, where the two temples stood for a thousand years and to which every Jew in the world has prayed for thousands of years. The UN is rewriting a basic part of human history and has again proven that there is no low to which it will not stoop.”

Man’s rulers may work against the purpose and plan of God, but they will not succeed. Those of us who know the truth must take a stand and make a difference while we still can. That is why God has called and commanded us to build the wonderful Friends of Zion Heritage Center to further the defense of His Chosen People.
