Anglican Archbishop James Ussher, (Wiki).

I am myself pro James Ussher, more as a scholar, but he did put together the Irish Articles 1615. And I tend to agree with him as to his Reduction of Episcopacy, which was a halfway position between presbterianism and episcopacy, thus the Low Church position as an Anglican. Though because of Charles I he did NOT attend the 1643 Westminster Assembly. But later Ussher seems to have been appropriated by both royalist and parlimentarian, puritan and anglican. In the end, his scholarship won out. And he was always a devout Calvinist, both biblically and theologically!
