The Jerusalem Connection… on President Elect Trump.
One that calls for a response…
Rabbi Mendel Kessin said: “There’s not one mention of God” in the speech, “Yet [his election is] the greatest miracle,” Rabbi Kessin pointed out, noting the hand of God in Trump’s unlikely win. “It’s the greatest upset in American history. Clearly it was God. There is no other explanation. How could you not give credit to God Himself? … How could you not say, at the outset, ‘The first one I want to thank is God Almighty’?”… “The man had nothing to run on. No credentials. Nothing. How do you not [thank God] in your victory speech?”
He added, “That would have been an unbelievable Kiddush Hashem (sanctification of God’s Name) that would have been broadcast to the entire United States and the entire world. What a missed opportunity! What an opportunity to sanctify the name of God in front of billions of people.”
“He blew it,” Rabbi Kessin summed up in a refreshingly modern interpretation of events.
“I certainly hope God forgives him,” the rabbi said, suggesting that President-elect Trump appoint a spiritual advisor to his Cabinet. “It’s very important for him to understand that part of his job isn’t just to Make America Great Again. It’s also to make God great again.”
God says: “Hallelu Yah. Praise Yahweh, you his servants; praise the name of Yahweh. Let the name of Yahweh be praised both now and forevermore. From the rising of the sun to the place where it sets, the name of Yahweh is to be praised. Hallelu Yah!”…“No one from the east or the west or from the desert can exalt a man. But it is God who judges: He brings one down, he exalts another.”…“He changes times and seasons; he sets up kings and disposes them.”… “There is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God.” (Psalm 113:1-3; Psalm 75:6-7; Daniel 2:21; Romans 13:1)
The Jerusalem Connection says: Without question, the election of President-elect Trump was ultimately determined by God’s sovereign choice. God’s people who were diligent in intercessory prayer for Trump realize this. They also realize that God was moved by that overwhelming deluge of prayer on the part of his people which in turn was prompted by the power of the Holy Spirit. Trump’s election was a “God thing” from beginning to end. As Rabbi Kessin has reminded us, President-elect Trump would do well to remember who actually got him where he is and thank God daily for his grace for his Divine appointment as our President. As the same time God’s people must remember to continue to pray for the President Trump – for his protection and discernment.
Yahweh bless President Trump, and his family and his administration and keep them.
Yahweh make you face to shine on President Trump and his family and administration and be gracious to them.
Yahweh turn your face toward President Trump and his family and administration and give them your peace. (Shalom)
*Amen, the verdict on Trump will of course come from God! But let us who name of the Name of Jesus Christ, Messiah and Lord pray for him! Romans 13.
