The Jersusalem Connection…

December 30, 2016

One that calls for a response

Israel’s Sephardic Chief Rabbi Ytzhak Yosef said: “The U.S. has forsaken Israel, and the Jewish State can now place its trust only in God. Sometimes, we need to be reminded from above that we can count on no one but our Father who art in heaven, Even America… forsook us last week at the UN.”

He added: “We mustn’t forget that the hearts of kings and captains are in the hands of the Lord, and we can count on no one but (Yahweh).”

God says: “This is what Yahweh says: “Cursed is the one who trusts in man, who draws strength from mere flesh and whose heart turns away from Yahweh. That person will be like a bush in the wastelands; they will not see prosperity when it comes. They will dwell in the parched places of the desert, in a salt land where no one lives. “But blessed is the one who trusts in Yahweh, whose confidence is in him. They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.”… “I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse.” (Jeremiah 17:5-8; Genesis 12:3)

The Jerusalem Connection says: Certainly Rabbi Yosef is spot on – especially when he recognizes Israel’s deliverance and salvation ultimately depends on Yahweh. This will be particularly true in the days ahead when, “a Day of Yahweh is coming when… I will gather all the nations to Jerusalem to fight against it.” (Zechariah 14:1-2) Then Israel’s deliverance will come only when she proclaims “Blessed is He who comes in the name of Yahweh (not Adonai or HaShem, but Yahweh!) (Psalm 118:26; Matthew 23:39)

*But note, Zech. 13: 8-9, this comes under the hand of the Antichrist and the invasion of the Beast!  Sadly, only a “third” of the people of Israel will survive this attack (Armageddon), not that they are all under personal judgment, but the certain providence and purpose of God in Israel and the region. But of course a Jewish Remnant will survive to the Second Coming of Christ, and the literal Millennium! (Fr.R.)
