NAS Verse of the Day
Verse of the Day
17 “For behold, I create new heavens and a new earth; And the former things will not be remembered or come to mind.”
Read Isaiah 65
*See the ESV Study Bible and the note there for this verse! Like Irenaeus of Lyons, who was millenarian for sure, I also believe this verse covers both the millennial state and the eternal. The essence here is God’s Transcendence, but in His own Creation, both in the Millennial and the Eternal State! With Irenaeus, my thoughts at least. And yes “we” will remember, but only with God’s Transcendence!
PS.. For Irenaeus the Millennial Kingdom is a substantive and essential precursor of the Eternal Kingdom of God, since and with the Second Coming of Christ, as Premillennial: Jesus Christ is its power and glory, i.e. The King and Lord of Glory! We must not, and cannot really diminish the Millennial Kingdom! (Fr. R.)… “The circumference of the city shall be 18,ooo cubits. And the name of the city from that time on shall be, “The Lord is There.” (Ezekiel 48: 35, ESV)
~ A study of Ezekiel chapters 40 thru 48, is Ezekiel’s Temple, and is both spiritual and literal, and the Glory of the Lord!
